Jinx Chapter 53 Recap
In Chapter 53 of Jinx, as Kim was packing, he remembered a conversation with his grandmother about her special request. She once lived near the beach on the west coast but was never able to return. She asked Kim to take her ashes there to fulfill her final wish.
Kim penned a resignation letter and a personal message to Jaekyung with conflicting feelings. It was hard to bid farewell, especially considering the uncertainty of his involvement in the outcome of their recent conflict.
Jaekyung was surprised by the news that Kim was leaving. Despite attempting to persuade him to stay, Kim had already decided to leave, leaving Jaekyung to deal with the challenge of finding a new therapist while Kim was on leave.
Thinking about the events leading up to Kim’s departure, Jaekyung remembered the night before the match. It was then that he realized the reason for Kim’s actions. Jaekyung searched his apartment and found the letter hidden there.
Jaekyung’s letter stated that he covered the hospital expenses and Kim made a commitment to settle all of his debts. Jaekyung was also urged to seek out a reputable therapist to help cope with the guilt that Kim’s decision brought upon him.
